In April 2026, Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated (Global ACI) endorsed FSSC 22000 Version 7 for inclusion as a sub-scope of the Global ACI Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MRA). FSSC 22000 is a certification scheme for the auditing and certification of food safety management systems, with the aim of providing assurance that certified organisations in the food supply chain provide safe food to their customers. 

FSSC 22000 Version 6 was previously endorsed under the Global ACI MRA. With the endorsement of Version 7, the updated version will be recognised alongside Version 6 during the transition period before replacing it as the sole endorsed version. 

The Global ACI MRA supports the international recognition and acceptance of conformity assessment results issued by accredited bodies. Maintained through regular peer evaluation, it promotes confidence in the competence of accreditation body signatories and contributes to reducing technical barriers to trade.  

The endorsement of FSSC 22000 Version 7 supports the continued international recognition of accredited certification to the scheme and reflects the ongoing cooperation between Global ACI and Foundation FSSC.
